Our Story

Hi, we are Ruth (Scottish) & Gerd (Dutch) and we have been married since 1987. We have 2 grown-up children, Kim and Michael & Kim has recently joined as a distributor in our team. We met each other on holiday in 1984 and since then we have been living in The Netherlands but plan to return to Glasgow shortly (2012) to continue our business there. I am a qualified doctors' assistant and Gerd is an off-shore supervisor.

We were introduced to Forever Living Products in 2006 when I had to give up my job due to on-going stress. I loved working in a doctors practice, talking to and helping all my patients but unfortunately things got worse instead of better and I became quite ill. I knew I had to do something to get myself back on my feet but I didn't know what.

One day while watching television I saw an American programme called 'Dr. Phil' which featured the Aloe Vera plant and the positive influences the Aloe Vera gel can have on the body and health. I was so impressed that I immediately went to my computer to do some research. After finding and reading umpteen sites about Aloe Vera I decided to try it out, and with success. One month later I felt so much better that I wanted to go back to work. I knew I didn't want to work in a doctors' practice again so when it was suggested to me that I could combine work and the Aloe Vera products, which by now I had tried and loved, I grabbed the opportunity of helping others in my own way. That is how our Aloe Vera Scotland team got started.

All of my life I had been looking for that certain something that would challenge and excite me and finally I found it in Network Marketing. When I started my own company I was just an ordinary wife and mother of 2 children who never seemed to have time for anything else other than work and household chores. Now I am still a wife and mother but with time for myself, the result being, an independent, happy and healthy woman who knows where she's going and what she wants out of life.
